Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the PurchVault mobile app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

The service

PurchVault lets you scan, store, and organize receipts and purchase documents, track return windows and warranties, categorize expenses, and export organization-only reports. AI features provide suggestions that you must review and confirm — see the AI & Tax Disclaimers, which are part of these terms.

Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for the content you upload and must have the right to store it.
• You may not use PurchVault to store unlawful content, abuse or overload the service, attempt to access other users' data, or resell the service.

Your content

You own your receipts and records. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store, process (including AI extraction you initiate), and display them back to you. We never sell your content or use it for advertising.

Subscription terms

• PurchVault offers a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription (monthly or annual), currently CAD $18.99/month or CAD $149.99/year, which may include a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Unused trial time is forfeited when a purchase completes. Deleting your PurchVault account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your store settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies.
• Plan limits (receipts, AI extractions, reminders, storage, report exports) are described in the app and may be adjusted with notice.

Acceptable use of AI features

AI extraction is provided for organizing your own receipts within fair-use limits. Automated or scripted use intended to abuse AI processing is prohibited and may result in throttling or suspension.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

PurchVault is an organization and recordkeeping tool. It does not provide tax, accounting, financial, or legal advice, and AI suggestions may be inaccurate — always verify important information. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using PurchVault and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
